Call for Demos and Student Posters
IEEE WCNC 2017
IEEE WCNC is the premier event for wireless communications researchers, industry professionals, and academics interested in the latest development and design of wireless systems and networks. Sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, IEEE WCNC has a long history of bringing together industry, academia, and regulatory bodies. In 2017, the city of San Francisco and the Silicon Valley will become the center of the wireless world by hosting IEEE WCNC ‘17.
WCNC ‘17 solicits submissions for technical demonstrations and student posters showing innovative research and prototypes. Submissions are invited in all topics covered by the main conference in addition to all the workshops held in conjunction with WCNC ‘17.
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed on the basis of scientific merit, novelty and practical applications. Selected abstracts will be distributed with the conference proceedings and available on the conference website. Authors must be present during the Demo and Poster session. Awards will be given to the best demo and poster.
Submission Guidelines
An extended abstract for a poster presentation should include: the description of the problem being addressed, its significance, the approach adopted, and key results. Submissions (no more than 2 pages) should be made via EDAS to the WCNC Student Poster Track.
An extended abstract/proposal for a demo should include: the scope and significance of the demo and the basic idea that it supports, equipment to be used for the demo, space and setup time needed, and additional facilities needed including power and Internet/wireless access. Submissions (no more than 2 pages) should be made via EDAS to the WCNC Demo Track.
Registration Information
A non-author registration can cover a demo/poster. For authors of the main conference or workshop papers, there is no extra charge for a demo/poster.
