The student program event times and locations are as follows:
  • Student Mentoring Lunch, 12:10-1:30 PM, Seacliff C Room
  • Student Poster/Demo Session, 2:40-4:00 PM, Market Street Foyer
  • Student-Industry Recruiting Event, 4:00-6:00 PM, Exhibit Hall, Grand Ballroom B-C and Foyer
  • Student-Industry Networking Reception, 6:30-7:30 PM, Market Street Foyer

Student Mentorship Lunch: 12:10-1:30 PM, Seacliff C

This event will enable to students to forge future connections as well receive career development guidance from senior leaders.  During this session, there will be approximately five concurrent table discussions centered around themes of interest to students, e.g., “How to Get an Academic Job,” “Industry versus Academia,” “Do’s and Don’ts of Interviewing,” etc.  Students will have the opportunity to rotate every half hour to participate in multiple discussions. Postdocs are also welcome. This session is hosted by the NSF Center for Science of Information.

Student Posters and Demonstrations Session: 2:40-4:00 PM, Market Street, Foyer.

A session dedicated towards student posters, demonstrations and prototypes. A panel of distinguished judges  will select the Best Student Poster and Best Student Demonstration from  the list found below.  These awards will be presented by a representative of the Marconi Society Young Scholar Program. The Marconi Society has generously sponsored this session and its awards.

Student-Industry Recruiting Event: 4:00-6:00 PM, Grand Ballroom B-C and Foyer

This event will enable students to discuss their job interests with industry and startup exhibitors. Students can bring their questions and resumes to the exhibit booths of the companies they are interested in. Postdocs are also welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Student-Industry Networking Reception: 6:00-7:30 PM, Market Street Foyer

All student and industry attendees are invited to this informal mixer to meet friends and make new contacts. Postdocs are also welcome. Food and drinks will be served.
