Call For Papers

This workshop aims to foster discussion between industrial and academic players, and  to attract high-quality contributions in the area of communications supporting IoT systems and M2M communication. The scope of the workshop covers, but is not limited to the following:

  • Communications and networking supporting IoT applications;

  • IoT applications motivating innovative networking architectures;

  • Mobile, edge and cloud computing for the IoT;

  • Scalability and reliability aspects of M2M and IoT;

  • MAC-layer and network-layer protocol design for IoT;

  • Energy efficient communications for the IoT;

  • Long-range low-power Wide Area Networks;

  • Software Defined Radio and opportunistic networking supporting IoT applications;

  • Context-aware M2M communications;

  • Communication and processing architectures for the urban IoT;

  • Vehicular communication design;

  • Coexistence of wireless technologies in the IoT;

  • Mining and processing of IoT data;

  • Wireless protocols and architectures supporting Urban IoT systems.


The workshop invites paper submissions, as well as industry and academic demonstration proposals. Demonstrations in hardware and/or software are meant to showcase new and exciting technology. Papers should follow IEEE WCNC 2017 formatting and length guidelines.
